Strictly Bangers #9 - In a (not da) club
July 03, 2010 01:28 AM PDT
Again, what can I say... a collection of some of my favs, favorite vocal performances 'of the club variety' in particular. Hope you manage to break a sweat; I always do when I listen to them. Don't be afraid to close your eyes and sing along. March 22, 2010 04:16 PM PDT
I've been wanting to do a mix like this for a while now... oddly enough, the 2 tracks that got me thinking about doing it didn't end up making the cut. I just said the last mix was my favorite one, so I guess I'll just say that I really like this one a lot, and a few of my all-time favs are on here. Shouts to the Twilite Tone and Greymarl for helping 2 of them finally find their way to my collection! If you can guess which ones they are, you win free entry and 2 drink tickets for the next Strictly Bangers party. August 23, 2009 09:52 PM PDT
I think this is my favorite of all my mixes to date. Since I make them first and foremost for myself, of course I like them all, "But this one goes to 11." I'll be the guy off to the side covered in baby powder... Strictly Bangers #6 - Urban Radio (when I dream)August 16, 2009 11:02 AM PDT
I'll leave it to somebody else to try & fit it into a nice little box. To me, it is simply good, mid to uptempo, contemporary soul music... |
Podcast SummaryHome of the Strictly Bangers series. No gimmicks, no fillers, and no restrictions. Simply bangers, programmed to take you on a pleasant little journey. The particular installment's title should give you a heads up about where we'll be going. Along the way you'll undoubtedly 'see' some familiar faces (both from a while back and more recently), but you might meet some new ones too. If you want a track listing, just shoot me a message. About DMFBI usually pretty much stay out of the way and let the records speak for themselves. I will say that - if I achieved my objective that is - the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. In other words, these are 'mixes', not recordings of me mixing. As such, they are (supposed to be) better enjoyed in one sitting. I do realize that not everyone has an hour+ to listen to something, nonetheless, I recommend waiting until you do before listening to any of them for the first time. (even if this means you never get around to it) I hope you enjoy the selections. Followers
